Abstract: This paper addresses the importance of building a solid academic track record during
undergraduate studies, highlighting its role in the professional and personal
development of university students. The research focuses on the context of the
Technology in Systems Analysis and Development (TADS) course at the Federal
Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Amazonas Campus Manaus
Centro (IFAM-CMC), where the difficulty of accessing organized information about
events, conferences, and graduate programs was identified as a significant barrier to
student engagement. The overall objective of the research is to develop a
recommendation system based on Natural Language Processing (NLP) to encourage
student participation in academic activities. The methodology employed consists of
using NLP techniques to analyze descriptions of academic opportunities and thereby
generate personalized recommendations that align with students' interests. The
expected results include the creation of a functional prototype capable of connecting
students to relevant events and programs through newsletters, facilitating their
training and professional development. It is concluded that the implementation of
such a system can mitigate the lack of clear information, promoting greater
engagement and enhancing the academic trajectory of students in the TADS course.

Abstract: This project deals with the development of a web system that assists data managers in their
practice and occurrence management activities. The system contains features that facilitate
the management of incidents and their solutions, as well as practices to be adopted by the
different sectors that make up an organization. Therefore, a web application was developed
that notifies e-mails according to their respective sets of practices and helps manage incident
response, providing alerts via e-mail about movements and details of their resolution for later
consultation.

Aprendizado interativo de inglês baseado em visão computacional

Título: Aprendizado interativo de inglês baseado em visão computacional

Abstract: In view of the current context that experiences the implications of
globalization, the importance of knowing at least one foreign language as a tool
for insertion and social opportunities is visible, in this case English. In Brazil, the
teaching of the English language is consolidated in language institutes and in
private elementary education, because in the public sector, teaching in the initial
grades is still deficient. For this reason, it is necessary an accessible way to help
the learning of English in this age group, in this way, in order to solve the above
issue, this work proposes to use image classification methods to make learning
fun and interactive. In this sense, with the use of computer vision, a convolutional
neural network model will be used to translate the images into words in English,
thus promoting a playful and accessible teaching.

Abstract: In the context of inclusive education and assistive technology, this study focused on the
development of a computational tool for creating Unified Modeling Language (UML)
Use Case diagrams with accessibility features in Brazilian Sign Language (Libras),
called UMLibras. The tool aims to support teachers and students, with or without
hearing impairments, in the teaching and learning of modeling computer systems from
diagrams. The RAD (Rapid Application Development) model was adopted for the
development of the tool. RAD is an approach that is particularly suitable for individual
projects that require agile development and fast results, while maintaining the quality of
the final product. Using the JavaScript library mxGraph and the VLibras API,
UMLibras was designed to assist in the modeling of the Use Case diagram with
associated figures and videos with interpreters. It is expected that UMLibras will
contribute significantly to the teaching and learning of such UML models, seeking to
offer support to the teacher in teaching, as well as to create favorable conditions for the
learning of these students. In this sense, the use of UMLibras in educational institutions
can promote both education and the increase in job offers in an inclusive and egalitarian
manner.
