Abstract: This experience report is the result of an extension project in which
students experienced pleasurable, meaningful and engaging learning through a
card game along the lines of Super Trunfo. The game was structured on the basis
of Animal Production Science courses, which, among other subjects, includе
topics like ruminant production and aquaculture. Initially, the project team
researched the main breeds of cattle, sheep and goats, as well as the most
important species of fish in Brazil. Based on this data, the charts were created
using the online graphic design platform Canva®. In order to evaluate its use in
the teaching-learning process, a questionnaire was administered to first-year
agricultural students at the Federal Institute of Amazonas in Itacoatiara which
aimed to determine the number of cattle breeds and fish species that the
students were familiar with. Then, the game was played during a few lessons and
the questionnaire was administered again. The findings demonstrated that the
majority of students retained the knowledge on the cards, enhancing their
understanding. The game was also taken to three rural schools and presented
to elementary school to encourage students' interest in the courses given at the
Institute by having them exhibit some ofthe subjects covered in the agricultural
course. Thus, the use of this game as a didactic tool has allowed the students of
the technical course in agriculture to engage and participate in the teachinglearning process, generating knowledge and fun, as well as an extension activity
with students from rural schools.

Abstract: This report aims to describe the experiences lived by students of the
Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Sciences at IFAM CITA during their participation
in the 1st Seminar on Agricultural Sciences Teaching - SELICA IFAM CITA, held in
October 2022, concurrently with the National Week of Science and Technology -
SNCT. The event was developed in two stages: the first stage took place on the
campus itself, where the students attended lectures, workshops, and a minicourse, and created teaching materials to be used in the workshops in public
schools during the second stage. The next stage involved the implementation of
the SELICA event in the communities. The seminar addressed various topics and
featured exhibits such as Taxidermy, Plant Exsicata, Chemistry, Biology, and
Physics experiments, as well as extension projects, in three rural schools in the
municipality: Sérgio Mendonça de Aquino State School in the village of Novo
Remanso, Anília Nogueira da Silva State School in Costa da Conceição, and Dom
Pedro I Municipal School in the São João do Araçá community. SELICA aimed to
bring students from public schools in the municipality and surrounding areas
closer to the university environment, promoting the democratization of
knowledge and providing academic students with the opportunity to enhance
their teaching practice through the development and implementation of
workshops with participating students, fostering skills such as leadership,
creativity, and dynamism. Participation in the SELICA project further contributed
to the construction and training of Agricultural Sciences teaching students.
