Abstract: The fifth volume, entitled "Occupational Hygiene Standard 09 -
Assessment of Full-Body Occupational Exposure and
Occupational Hygiene Standard 10 - Assessment of Hand and Arm
Occupational Exposure", is aimed at students of occupational
safety and related areas throughout Brazil, with the aim of
enriching the technical knowledge of this audience.
The purpose of this volume is to explain, in a concise manner in
relation to the original standards, how the qualitative and
quantitative assessments of activities that involve occupational
exposure to vibrations, whether of the entire body or of the hands
and arms, will be carried out. Throughout the reading, the reader
will be introduced to the main aspects necessary for carrying out
these assessments, which include criteria for qualitative and
quantitative analysis, such as professional experience, work
environment conditions, duration of exposure, affected group,
equipment used, preparation of reports, among other relevant
points. It is essential that there is additional data to what will be
covered. For this reason, references to standards and websites
that may enrich the reader's studies were mentioned.
